Timothy Brown, President, Managing Broker

Tim Brown is the founder and President of Academy Residential Mortgage. After serving as a senior loan officer for several years with Washington Mutual, Tim felt there was a market need for a mortgage company that focused on long term relationships with referral partners such as realtors, builders and insurance agents.

Academy since its founding in 2004 has experienced 25%+ revenue growth in each of the past 6 years. With team of 11 loan officers and seventeen total employees, Academy is now one of the premier lenders in the North metro Atlanta area.

Tim is a graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy and served on drug interdiction patrols during his time in the Coast Guard.  He received his MBA from Northeastern University and worked in sales and sales management roles in medical equipment industry prior to his mortgage experience.

A native of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Tim, his wife Monique and their three children have been residents of Alpharetta Georgia since 2000. 

Greg Peters, Branch Manager

Greg Peters joined Academy Residential in September 2009 and has been instrumental in the Company's dynamic growth in the last half of the year. His infectious enthusiam for mortgage business makes him an effective motivator and through his efforts Academy set a record of $8 million in loan originations in December 2009. 

Greg is a native of Baltimore Maryland and is a graduate of the College of Charleston.  Greg has excelled as both a mortgage originator and branch manager at his previous employers National Fidelity Mortgage and Universal Mortgage.

Greg lives in Alpharetta lives Alpharetta with his son Oliver.
